Craziness, check ups, and baby steps

Today is a day of lots of crazy things happening. Allison didn't make it onto the potty. She always feels the need to run to me and tell me she has to potty, then runs to the potty but can't get her pants down in time and potty's in her pants and on the floor. No problem there, but today has been a defiant day for miss Allison. Has been doing the complete opposite after I tell her no.
-pinching baby's cheeks (i say no-she does it anyway)
-pulling baby's legs (no-doesn't listen)
-wash hands after potty (no-runs away)
It's a hard day for a 3 year old, who is showing her defiance because she is jealous. This is what I got from it. I have been controlling my anger better and have stepped back and took in a deep breathe and asked her calmly to stop. You know what, IT WORKS!!! Baby steps for me, but I'm changing my mothering:)

Paul 4 month check up
-15 pounds 10 ounces
-25.75 inches long
-44cm head circumference
-can push his chest up off the floor!!
-has rolled from front to back (a few times)
-has rolled from back to front (once!)
-very happy, smiley, giggly boy
-can sleep in his crib in his room until 2am, then I give in (I am working on it)

Funny note
-went to let the dogs inside the house today and got locked out by Allison!!! I was playing with Paul on the floor while she was playing by herself, nicely. The dog was barking so I went through the sliding glass door and opened the other door to let the dog in. Takes 2 seconds right??? well, I turn around and she has the sliding door closed and has locked it. What is more, she thinks this is HILARIOUS!!!!! Here I am freaking out because Paul is on the floor crying and Allison is laughing at me. Trying to reason with a 3 year old who thinks it is funny to lock me out was CRAZY!! Thought about going to the front door, but also realized she could run there faster and lock that door as well! Then I realized I had my phone in my pocket and grandma was upstairs. But I finally was able to talk her into opening the door for me. From now on I need to make sure she either comes with me and I grab Paul or that she is no where near the back door. Whew!
